[05-16-2026] Alameda County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck in West Oakland (1).webpA 61-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a semi-truck in West Oakland on Saturday night, May 16, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash occurred at the intersection of Burma Road and Maritime Street near the Port of Oakland.

Authorities stated that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Maritime Street when he collided with a semi-truck that was making a northbound turn onto Maritime Street. The rider reportedly struck the trailer and became pinned underneath it.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of relatives. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

Officials said it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
