According to the California Highway Patrol Stockton Division, the collision was reported around 6:50 a.m. on eastbound Highway 120 west of South Main Street.

Authorities stated that both big rigs sustained significant damage in the collision. Traffic was diverted to Union Road while emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the wreckage.

Officials said all eastbound lanes of Highway 120 were blocked following the crash. The extent of injuries has not yet been released.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
