Two drivers avoided serious injuries following a crash involving an SUV and a parked asphalt trailer in Napa on Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 10 a.m. near Diamond Mountain Road at the intersection of California State Routes 12 and 29 in Napa Valley.
Authorities reported that a black SUV veered off the roadway and crashed into a fully loaded parked asphalt trailer. The impact caused the trailer’s left rear wheel to detach, and both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Initial reports indicated possible major injuries, but CHP later confirmed that neither driver suffered serious injuries.
Investigators stated that distracted driving is believed to have contributed to the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
