Multiple crashes caused traffic delays on southbound Highway 101 near Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo County, on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 2:19 p.m. to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the Halcyon Road off-ramp.
Authorities stated that the initial crash involved a burgundy Nissan and a white work truck. Emergency personnel from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, fire crews, and paramedics later responded to the scene.
Officials said a second crash involving three additional vehicles occurred in the same area around the same time. Further details regarding that collision were not immediately available.
By approximately 3:30 p.m., the vehicles involved had been cleared from the southbound lanes, though traffic remained backed up to the 4th Street on-ramp in Pismo Beach.
No injuries were reported in the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the incidents.
