Four people were killed following a head-on collision in Littlerock, Los Angeles County, on Friday evening, May 8, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 6:39 p.m. on Mount Emma Road at 77th Street East, south of Pearblossom Highway.
Authorities reported that a white Honda Pilot SUV and an Infiniti G35 sedan collided head-on after the Infiniti, which was traveling eastbound on Mount Emma Road, crossed into the westbound lane for reasons still under investigation.
Officials stated that the driver and passenger inside the Infiniti sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was later identified as 23-year-old Byron L. Investigators reported that neither occupant of the Infiniti was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot were airlifted to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where both later died from their injuries.
CHP stated that evidence recovered from the Infiniti indicated alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
