[05-02-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Phelan

A 38-year-old woman was killed following a hit-and-run crash in Phelan, San Bernardino County, early Saturday morning, May 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Neilson Road, east of Sheep Creek Road.

Authorities identified the victim as Linda T. of San Bernardino. Investigators reported that she was walking in the roadway when an unknown westbound vehicle struck her. She was found on the dirt shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene at around 2:58 a.m.

Officials stated that the driver fled the scene in an unknown direction. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
