A 21-year-old man is facing charges of reckless driving after speeding off a freeway ramp, overturning his vehicle, and crashing into another car in Modesto on Monday afternoon, April 27, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. when Abdulrahman S., driving a 2024 Toyota Camry, exited northbound Highway 99 onto eastbound Highway 219/Kiernan Avenue.
The driver was traveling too fast to safely navigate the right-hand turn on the off-ramp and continued northeast before the vehicle overturned. The Toyota then collided with a 2008 Honda Civic driven by 19-year-old Emanuel B. of Modesto before coming to rest against a fence.
The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization. The CHP plans to recommend a charge of reckless driving to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office.
The crash caused traffic delays in the area for about 90 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the crash continues.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
