According to authorities, the crash was reported at around 5:30 p.m. near the California Highway Patrol station, south of Civic Drive.

Emergency responders located the rider on the sidewalk next to the bike. The gray Toyota Camry involved in the crash sustained visible damage to the driver’s side bumper and hood.

The injured rider was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. The extent of the rider’s injuries was not immediately disclosed.

The driver of the Camry remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No injuries were reported for the driver or passengers in the vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department.
