According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 7:02 a.m. on I-15 south near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.

A motorcycle rider was down in the middle lane following the collision. A second vehicle, described as a Kia sedan carrying a family of seven, was also involved but moved to the right shoulder.

Fire personnel reported that the crash blocked one to two lanes of traffic. A tow service was requested, and CHP units coordinated traffic control while additional resources were awaited.

The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries was not immediately clear, but emergency responders indicated the rider required medical attention at the scene.

Officials temporarily closed lanes as crews worked to clear the roadway, causing delays for morning commuters.
