According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, the crash was reported at around 5:21 p.m. along State Route 138 east of the Interstate 15 interchange.

Initial reports indicated the motorcycle collided with a blue sedan and a gold Chrysler minivan. Authorities said the rider was found down over the right-hand side railing and was possibly not breathing.

CHP records show the driver of the minivan was also reported to have left the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, officials requested the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the coroner, who arrived at about 7:15 p.m.

Authorities issued a hard closure of SR-138 in both directions to allow for the investigation and scene processing. Both eastbound and westbound lanes remained shut down for several hours as officers conducted measurements and documented the crash scene. Tow truck services were requested for the motorcycle and the minivan, and at least one vehicle was taken for evidence processing.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
