[03-27-2026] Riverside County, CA – One Killed in Crash on Eastbound 10 Freeway in Blythe.webpA 43-year-old woman was killed in a crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Blythe on Friday morning, March 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. east of Mesa Drive. 

A red 2026 Kia sedan was traveling at an unconfirmed speed when, for unknown reasons, the driver veered off the roadway, struck a guard rail, and became disabled in the No. 1 lane.

A 2019 Volkswagen, also traveling in the No. 1 lane at an unconfirmed speed, was unable to avoid the Kia in time and collided with the sedan.

Natalia S., a passenger in the Kia, was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries and was taken to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio for treatment.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
