According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Anaheim Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue at 12:45 a.m. after an officer observed a silver Infiniti speeding near Harbor Boulevard and Cypress Street. The driver of the Infiniti turned off their lights, and the officer did not pursue the vehicle as it sped away.

The Infiniti ran a red light at Anaheim and Lincoln, crashing into three vehicles and leaving a trail of debris. Two people, a passenger in the Infiniti and the driver of a red sedan, were pronounced dead at the scene. At least two others were reported in critical condition, while several others were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The intersection of Anaheim Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue remains closed for several hours as the police investigation continues.
