[03-27-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on Florin Rd.

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving two vehicles in Sacramento on Friday evening, March 27, 2026.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded around 8:30 p.m. on Florin Road east of Freeport Boulevard and south of Sacramento Executive Airport.

Upon arrival, authorities find the woman, one of the involved drivers, lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver fled before officers arrived. The department’s major collision unit and crime scene investigators processed the scene and interviewed witnesses, but no suspect information was available. The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld until her family is notified.
