A 42-year-old woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Joshua Tree, San Bernardino County, on Saturday night, March 21, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 8:50 p.m. to the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Mountain View Circle.
Susan F., a resident of Joshua Tree, was walking south across the highway when she was struck by an eastbound Toyota Camry, then hit by a Honda Accord.
One of the vehicles ended up in the center divider, and one person was trapped under it. San Bernardino County Fire crews assisted with extricating the person.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Morongo Basin Ambulance.
The investigation remains ongoing.
