[02-28-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – One Driver Killed, Rider Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Tracy.webpOne driver was killed, and a motorcyclist sustained minor injuries in a multi-vehicle crash in Tracy, San Joaquin County, on Saturday afternoon, February 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at around 3:49 p.m. on Highway 4 near the Old River Bridge.

CHP stated that a red Chevy truck traveling westbound swerved into the eastbound lanes.

Investigators said the truck driver applied the brakes before colliding with an eastbound work truck. The work truck then clipped a motorcycle behind the Chevy before overturning into a canal.

Officers confirmed that the driver of the work truck died at the scene. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries. 

Authorities are continuing to determine the cause of the crash.
