At least six people were injured when a vehicle struck them while they were walking on a sidewalk in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026.
The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. in front of Martha’s Flowers at 8th and San Julian streets, near the Fashion District.
Reports said a Mercedes veered off the road and onto the sidewalk, hitting several pedestrians before crashing into a tree.
Two of the pedestrians were reported to be in serious condition, while three others suffered varying levels of injury. Five of the injured were transported to the hospital, and another was assessed and released at the scene.
The driver’s condition is unknown, and there have been no arrests.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with no evidence of DUI.
