Five people were seriously injured in a head-on crash just northeast of Modesto and Oakdale in Stanislaus County on Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol Modesto office, the collision was reported at around 2:56 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 108 and Kennedy Road.
Authorities stated that the crash involved a black Subaru Legacy and a white Tesla. Both vehicles came to rest off the roadway.
Among the injured were four occupants of the Tesla and the 47-year-old female driver of the Subaru, who was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
As of 4 p.m., the scene remained active with traffic control measures in place. CHP officials have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
