One person was transported to a hospital following a traffic collision that blocked lanes on Rice Canyon Road in Fallbrook, San Diego County, on Monday evening, February 9, 2026.
According to the North County Fire Protection District, crews responded around 5:16 p.m. to reports of a crash near 1865 Rice Canyon Road.
A medic unit transported one patient from the scene with injuries of unknown severity.
California Highway Patrol incident logs indicated that the vehicles involved were not drivable after losing tires. Debris was scattered across the roadway, creating a hazard for passing motorists.
Emergency responders advised a partial road closure around 5:45 p.m. to facilitate medical treatment and cleanup. Two flatbed tow trucks were requested to remove the disabled vehicles from the roadway.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
