According to the California Highway Patrol Woodland Division, the crash occurred around 8:43 p.m. on Highway County Road 99 West north of CR-12. Investigators said a Dodge pickup truck traveling south struck a pedestrian in the roadway.

Authorities confirmed the pedestrian died at the scene from their injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin by the Yolo County Coroner’s Office.

CHP stated that drugs or alcohol did not appear to have been factors in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
