[01-30-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Man Killed After Rollover Crash on Frontage Rd. in Victorville

A man was killed following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Victorville early Friday morning, January 30, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash was reported at approximately 5:22 a.m. on Frontage Road just south of Stoddard Wells Road near the I-15 freeway. 

Victorville City Fire Department crews responded and located a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse overturned in a wash area.

Officials stated that two occupants were inside the SUV at the time of the crash. One individual was able to self-extricate and sustained minor injuries before being transported from the scene by ambulance. The driver, described as an adult male, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later determined that the SUV had been traveling northbound on Frontage Road when it left the roadway, damaged a section of chain-link fence, and overturned into the wash. The California Highway Patrol initially responded but later transferred jurisdiction to the Victorville Police Department, which is handling the investigation.

As of Friday morning, Frontage Road remained closed in both directions between E Street and the southbound I-15 freeway entrance at Stoddard Wells Road to allow for investigation and recovery efforts. The identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of the next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
