[01-18-2026] Tulare County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Near Giddings Street and Howard Avenue in Visalia

A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run near Giddings Street and Howard Avenue in Visalia early Sunday morning, January 18, 2026.

According to the Visalia Police Department, officers were called just after midnight regarding a hit-and-run in the area. When they arrived, they found a woman lying in the roadway. The driver involved had fled the scene before the officers arrived.

The victim was transported to Kaweah Health, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities have not released her identity.

The hit-and-run remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
