[01-15-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Big Rig in Van Nuys Parking Lot

A 55-year-old man was fatally struck by a big rig in a Van Nuys parking lot in Los Angeles, Thursday afternoon, January 15, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Jons Marketplace, located in the 6700 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard. 

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released. No other injuries were reported. It is unclear what caused the pedestrian to be struck.

The incident remains under investigation.
