A head-on collision involving two vehicles blocked traffic on eastbound Mission Road near Valentine Lane in Fallbrook, San Diego County, late Wednesday night, December 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 10:10 p.m. The CHP stated that two vehicles collided head-on and were left blocking lanes of traffic.
The vehicles involved were identified as a white Chevrolet Equinox and a gray Nissan Altima. Airbags were deployed, and tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the roadway.
Witnesses reported that one occupant appeared to be injured, although it was not immediately known whether anyone had been transported to a hospital.
Multiple CHP units responded to the scene as traffic was temporarily impacted during the investigation and cleanup.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
