A multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned vehicle was reported on the southbound Interstate 15 near Mira Mesa Boulevard in San Diego on Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard and was first reported in a SigAlert around 12:30 p.m.
CHP said one vehicle overturned and came to rest on its side, while at least six additional vehicles were involved. Traffic was heavily backed up, extending as far as Poway Road. Authorities stated that it was unclear whether any serious injuries had resulted from the crash.
CHP reported that all first responders had cleared the scene and all lanes were reopened by approximately 1:22 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
