[12-29-2025] Scooter Rider Killed After Collision on Watt AvenueA man riding a scooter was killed after a collision with a vehicle on the American River Bridge along Watt Avenue in Sacramento on Monday morning, December 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. when a man in his 30s was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Watt Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a vehicle traveling northbound reportedly failed to see the scooter and collided with the rider. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP said the woman driving the vehicle was not injured and was not driving under the influence.

The investigation is ongoing.
