[12-12-2025] Woman Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle Near West Cross and California Streets in WoodlandAn 87-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Woodland on Friday, December 12, 2025.

According to the Woodland Police Department, the collision occurred near the intersection of West Cross and California streets.

Officers said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, and there were no indications that drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. 

The pedestrian, identified as Marilyn Ann S. of Woodland, was transported to a hospital with major injuries.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office reported that Marilyn died on Sunday. The cause of death has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
