[12-13-2025] Pedestrian Killed After Crash at Osgood Road and South Grimmer Boulevard in FremontA pedestrian was killed after being struck on the sidewalk following a crash at the intersection of Osgood Road and South Grimmer Boulevard in Fremont on Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2025.

According to the Fremont Police Department, officers spotted a vehicle around 4:10 p.m. speeding and driving recklessly on Osgood Road, south of Auto Mall Parkway. 

Police said officers attempted to stop the driver, but the vehicle sped away. Authorities reported that officers turned off their emergency lights for public safety reasons and lost sight of the vehicle. A short time later, police said the driver ran a red light at Osgood Road and South Grimmer Boulevard, collided with another vehicle, lost control, and traveled onto the sidewalk, where a pedestrian was struck.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau is expected to release the victim’s identity after confirmation and notification of next of kin. 

The driver was identified as 28-year-old Antwone S. of Fremont, who was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody for multiple traffic-related violations. The driver of the other vehicle was examined and released at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
