A four-vehicle collision slowed traffic on southbound Highway 99 south of East Avenue in Chico on Tuesday morning, December 16, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. CHP officials said no serious injuries were reported.
As of about 8:30 a.m., tow trucks were being brought in to remove the involved vehicles, and at least one lane remained blocked. Authorities said crews expected to have all vehicles cleared from the roadway by approximately 9:30 a.m.
CHP urged drivers in the area to slow down and remain alert for officers and tow trucks working at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
