A woman died after being struck by a vehicle at East Anaheim Street and Rose Avenue in Long Beach on Thursday morning, December 11, 2025.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded around 6:20 a.m. and found the woman in the roadway. Officers provided aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and transported her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police said preliminary findings showed a 2022 Honda Accord traveling west on East Anaheim Street struck the woman as she attempted to cross in an unmarked crosswalk.
Speed, impairment, and distracted driving did not appear to be factors in the collision, and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
