A motorcyclist was struck and killed on Interstate 15 southbound about one mile north of the Field Road offramp near Newberry Springs in San Bernardino County, on Friday evening, December 5, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 6:28 p.m. when a 2018 green Audi A4 collided with a male motorcyclist described as wearing a black helmet and a white jacket with orange sleeves.
Both the rider and the motorcycle came to rest on the right-hand shoulder. San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
CHP temporarily stopped all southbound traffic to manage the scene and initiate a traffic break. A tow truck was requested for a silver Audi with front-end damage, and lanes remained blocked during the investigation. Caltrans issued an alert at 7:40 p.m. stating all southbound lanes were blocked due to the incident.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was notified, and the investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
