[11-30-2025] Motorcyclist Killed After Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-80 West of University Avenue in BerkeleyA motorcyclist was killed after being ejected during a crash involving two other vehicles on the eastbound Interstate 80 freeway just west of University Avenue in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, units responded shortly after 3:05 p.m. to reports of a motorcycle crashing into a car. 

Officers found the motorcyclist had been ejected from the bike and landed on the westbound side of the freeway, where the rider died from their injuries. 

CHP said the motorcycle was involved in a collision with an Acura TSX and a Honda Accord. All parties involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Authorities stated that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
