A pedestrian died after being struck by a driver suspected of driving under the influence in Fairfield early Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Travis Boulevard overpass near the off-ramp of eastbound Interstate 80, according to the Fairfield Police Department. Officers and Fairfield Fire Department personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Police arrested 35-year-old Kyle D. of Fairfield at the scene on suspicion of DUI. He remained at the location following the crash.
The pedestrian has not yet been identified. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
