A pedestrian was airlifted to a trauma center after being struck in a hit-and-run crash on El Mirage Road in Adelanto on Wednesday night, October 29, 2025.
The crash occurred around 8:20 p.m. near Lessing Avenue. San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance.
The pedestrian was transported by ground to Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) in Victorville, where they were transferred to a Reach medical helicopter and flown to Loma Linda University Center for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash as a hit-and-run. No vehicle description or direction of travel is available at this time.
The CHP Victorville station is leading the investigation.
