[10-14-2025] Man Killed in Collision with Stopped Semi-Truck on Highway 126 in CastaicA man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 126 east of Travel Village in Castaic, Los Angeles County, on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office, officers responded around 7:32 a.m. to a report of a crash near the recreational vehicle park just west of Interstate 5. 

Upon arrival, officers found a Hispanic man inside one of the vehicles, and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. No other transports were reported.

Preliminary information indicated that the man’s vehicle collided with a stopped semi-truck on the side of the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The CHP did not confirm whether the morning’s rainfall was a contributing factor.

The investigation into the Castaic crash remains ongoing.
