[10-11-2025] 46-Year-Old Man Killed in Off-Road Vehicle Crash Near Rancho Dos PalmasA 46-year-old man from Thermal was killed in an off-road vehicle crash near Rancho Dos Palmas in Riverside County on Saturday evening, October 11, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Gas Line Road, west of Summit Road. 

A Polaris RZR traveling westbound on Gas Line Road collided with a chain link fence. The driver then fled the scene in an unknown direction, leaving the passenger behind. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver’s whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. It is unclear if alcohol or drugs were involved.
