A driver and at least two other people were injured when a boom-lift work truck collided with six parked vehicles near Myers Road and Imperial Highway in Whittier early Saturday morning, September 27, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department, the crash occurred between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m.
CHP described the incident as a hit-and-run involving one vehicle striking six parked cars. The driver attempted to free his truck after the initial impact but ultimately ran into a nearby water canal, tumbling down a hill and sustaining injuries. He was transported by ambulance.
Residents reported that two people inside their vehicles were also transported to hospitals for evaluation. At least three of the cars, including an SUV, a work van, and a pickup, were totaled and required towing.
CHP confirmed all vehicles were damaged, but no arrests have been made, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
