A parked vehicle rolled down a hill and crashed into an apartment building on the 700 block of Markham Avenue in Vacaville on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025, rupturing gas and water lines and injuring a resident.
According to the Vacaville Police Department, officers responded just before 5:00 p.m. Noel M., who was inside the apartment at the time, reported that his wife was struck by debris and suffered minor injuries. His son was also inside the apartment.
The crash damaged property inside the unit, and eight apartment units were evacuated due to the damaged gas and water lines. Nearby buildings were asked to shelter in place until the area was secured.
Officials said the truck had been parked at an adjacent apartment building up the hill and rolled down, colliding with the structure. Roads in the area were temporarily closed while a tow truck removed the vehicle. Residents are expected to return to their apartments soon, except for the unit that was struck.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
