[09-13-2025] Butte County, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 70 in Oroville, Suspect Arrested for DUI

A hit-and-run collision occurred on southbound Highway 70 near Garden Drive in Oroville on Saturday afternoon, September 13, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 12:48 p.m. Witnesses reported that a white Ford Raptor with visible damage on the left side had left the scene and exited at Nelson Avenue. CHP officers located the vehicle on Lower Wyandotte Avenue near Ophir Road and conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Feather Falls Mini-Mart.

The investigation determined that the female driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody and booked into Butte County Jail on charges of misdemeanor DUI, DUI with a BAC of .08% or higher, and misdemeanor hit and run.

The CHP confirmed that the victims involved were safely escorted off Highway 70 and did not sustain any injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
