A 40-year-old woman was killed and three men were injured when a Honda Civic T-boned a Mercedes-Benz C300 in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, early Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash was reported at 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of Van Nuys and Burbank boulevards.
Investigators said the Honda was traveling eastbound on Burbank Boulevard when it ran a red light and struck the driver’s side of the northbound Mercedes near a Ralphs parking lot. The woman driving the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three men, all occupants of the Honda, were transported to local hospitals. One, approximately 40 years old, was in critical condition. Two others, both 25 years old, were treated for injuries ranging from serious to minor/fair.
As police and emergency crews responded to the crash, another vehicle rolled through police tape. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, though this incident was separate from the collision.
The intersection remained closed into the morning while authorities investigated.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
