A woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles, including one that fled the scene, in San Diego’s City Heights neighborhood on Sunday night, August 24, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash was reported shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Home Avenue, just north of Fairmount Avenue.
Authorities said the woman was initially hit by a PT Cruiser driven by a 20-year-old man traveling southbound. That driver pulled over after the collision. Shortly afterward, a second vehicle struck the woman as she lay in the roadway, but the driver fled the scene.
The victim died at the scene before she could be transported to a hospital. Her identity has not yet been released. Police said no description of the second vehicle is currently available.
Authorities continue to search for the hit-and-run driver.
