According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at around 8:22 a.m. on Highline Road near Tehachapi Willow Springs Road in the Tehachapi area.

Authorities confirmed that at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP requested a road closure in the area while officials worked at the site.
