[08-19-2025] One Injured After Car Strikes Big Rig and Fence on South 9th Street in ModestoOne person was injured in a crash involving a big rig in Modesto on Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:00 a.m. on South 9th Street.

The Modesto Fire Department reported that firefighters arrived to find a vehicle that had crashed into the back of a big rig trailer and a chain-link fence. A fence post had impaled one occupant, who had already removed the object before first responders arrived.

Engine 19, staffed with two paramedic firefighters, along with an ambulance crew, provided advanced life support at the scene. The injured person was transported to a local hospital.

The driver’s current condition has not yet been released. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
