A 30-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Imperial County on Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at around 5:38 a.m. on Dogwood Road just south of Fawcett Road.
Authorities said a northbound pickup truck, driven by a 34-year-old man, was traveling at about 5 miles per hour when it began turning left onto a dirt road. The motorcyclist, also heading northbound, attempted to pass the truck and struck it, causing the rider to be ejected from the bike.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The pickup driver was not hurt in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
