A 17-year-old unlicensed driver was involved in a crash that damaged two homes in Huntington Beach, Orange County, on Friday night, July 25, 2025.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 10:37 p.m. in the 19100 block of Newland Street. Preliminary investigations indicated that the vehicle was traveling south on Newland Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. Impairment is not suspected.
The driver and his 18-year-old male passenger both complained of pain and were transported to a hospital for evaluation.
City building inspectors responded to the scene and limited the occupancy of one of the homes until power was restored. The driver was cited for driving without a license and reckless driving and was released to a guardian.
