[07-24-2025] Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Near SR-12 Results in DUI ArrestA three-vehicle collision on Highway 101 southbound near State Route 12 in Sonoma County led to lane closures and one arrest on Thursday afternoon, July 24, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol Santa Rosa Area office, the crash occurred at approximately 4:48 p.m. 

One of the vehicles involved was occupied by a mother and her child in a car seat, while the other two vehicles did not have passengers.

The mother and child were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, though no injuries were reported. CHP confirmed that the driver of a white SUV was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing the crash.

All lanes were reopened about an hour after the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
