[07-11-2025] Bicyclist Injured in Collision on Junction Drive in Front of Oakhurst Government CenterA 30-year-old man was injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Oakhurst, Madera County, on Friday, July 11, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Junction Drive in front of the Oakhurst Government Center. The bicyclist was heading northbound when he was hit by a southbound vehicle.

Preliminary findings indicated that the bicyclist was maneuvering between vehicles stopped at a red light and entered the southbound lane, where he was struck. CHP stated that the driver had no opportunity to avoid the crash.

The bicyclist sustained minor to moderate injuries and was airlifted by SkyLife to Community Regional Medical Center. Authorities noted that he was wearing a helmet, which helped prevent more serious harm.

The incident remains under investigation.
