A woman sustained moderate injuries in a three-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Watsonville early Monday morning, July 7, 2025.
According to the Watsonville Police Department, the collision occurred just before 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Marchant Street.
Authorities said a light-colored Toyota sedan entered the intersection at high speed and struck a Subaru SUV, which was then pushed into a parked GMC pickup.
The impact caused the Subaru to overturn, trapping the female driver inside. Watsonville firefighters extricated the woman after approximately 25 minutes. She was transported to an out-of-county trauma center for treatment of moderate injuries.
The driver of the Toyota reportedly fled the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
