[06-24-2025] Pedestrian Struck and Killed on 405 to 710 Freeway Connector in Long BeachA 40-year-old man was fatally struck by vehicles on a freeway transition road in Long Beach on Tuesday night, June 24, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:55 p.m. on the connector from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway. 

CHP officers located the victim along with two vehicles believed to be involved in the incident. The pedestrian, identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as Kurtis H., was pronounced dead at the scene. His city of residence was not immediately available.

The CHP is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
