A 68-year-old Palmdale man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Acton, Los Angeles County, early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was found dead at the scene at 12:51 a.m. in the 730 block of Sierra Highway, west of the Metrolink station entrance.
Preliminary investigation revealed the man was walking westbound in the eastbound lane of Sierra Highway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling east. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver fled the scene and has not been located. It is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash or if the motorist was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
