A bystander was injured after a woman crashed her vehicle into a liquor store while allegedly driving under the influence in Redding on Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 2025.
According to the Redding Police Department, officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to the 2500 block of Victor Avenue, where they found that a vehicle had slammed into the building, causing minor injuries to a citizen who was present at the scene.
The driver, identified as 61-year-old Diana M., was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the crash.
Following a DUI investigation, officers arrested Merical on suspicion of driving under the influence, causing injury. She was transported and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
